Show VALUES OF FOREIGN COINS. Estimate by Director of the Mint of values of pure metal contents of foreign coins in terms of U. S. money, for estimating the value of all foreign mer-chandise exported to the U. S. beginning January I, 1919, expressed in any such metallic currencies. Entries of merchandise liquidated upon these values may be reliquidated upon order of the Secretary of the Treasury if satisfactory evidence is produced showing the values in U. S. currency were at the date of certification at least 10 more or less than the values stated below. U.S. DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE. WEATHER BUREAU. INTERPRETATION OF SIGNALS. DISPLAY EXAMPLES. TO FIND THE LENGTH OF DAY OR NIGHT. AT any time of the year add 12 hours to the time of the sun's setting, and from the sum subtract the time of rising for the length of the day. Subtract the time of setting from 12 hours, and to the remainder add the time of rising next morning for the length of the night. These rules are equally true for apparent time. |
