| Biographical/Historical Note |
In 1940, Bill and Lorraine Fenwick, who lived in a small cabin in Ogden Canyon, gave this piano to Amos Moroni Taylor (1893-1977) and wife Jeptha Ashby (1898-1970) to put in their 1871 home at 1174 North Harrisville Road. There were no piano tuners available with tools for tuning the old piano, so a neighbor, Raymond Grange of Harrisville, welded a bolt to fit the posts. The piano was in the Taylor home until 14 November 2016, when owner Lora Dean Taylor Galvez donated it to Harrisville City to be placed in a future museum. |
