Anderson and James Pingree. Equipment and machinery was constructed by local blacksmith Jesse C Little, Jr, in his blacksmith shop on Commercial Street. In 1911 James E. Anderson and his brother Joseph became sole owners. Each year continued to be more successful than the previous and in 1910, thirty thousand cases of "Those Good Peas, as they were labeled, were packed. By 1916 a new plant was built which produced up to 1,200 cases of peas per day. Misfortune struck in 1926 when James died and just three short months later Joseph died. In 1930 the Morgan Canning Company was deeded to Utah Packing Corporation and in 1935 to California Packing Co..
