It may be as a result of their purpose, but the opinion of most of the students seems to be that the Viking members would live up to the reputation whether they had that purpose behind them or not. In collaboration with Sharmea, these fellows developed a unique idea for a Winter Quarter dance called the Highland Fling, where the prize went to the man with the least money in his pocket. In order to accomplish this, all Viking members were ineligible to compete.
