Show DANCES Those Were the Days... Days of car decoration, the flaming “W’, the Warrior on the horse and the homecoming dance. This was a time to make and remember memories, and many memories were spun in the atmosphere of black, red and white decorations. As each of us becomes alumni, we will look back at the year 69-70, and say, “yes, those were the days.” A Time for Us was next on the dance schedule. The Girl’s Association turned the Warrior Gym into an English Courtyard with colors of greens and blues. One waltz around the room and the fountains, gardens and stone walls revealed themeselves to each dancer. Soft music, dim, sparkly lights and a special date to Weber land through colors of red and white and plenty of evergreen trees. A perfect end to the year of °69 came about through this event. Valentine’s day brought the Sophomore class dance with the theme of Try to Remember. Colors of red and white and plenty of hearts opened the door to let Dan Cupid in to fill our gym full of arrows and love. The annual Boys’ Association Buddy Dance was presented in March. With a Little Help From My Friends was the theme and blue and white were the colors. The final dance of the year was put on by the Girl’s Association. With every girl dressed in her newest print dress. Happiness is... was presented in shades of brought true romance and A Time For Us to Weber. Pep Club means girls, and girls are full of favorite things, so they chose My Favorite Things as the theme of their dance. The gym was decorated in lively colors of yellows, and greens pink and spring was finally ushered in, in the grandest display of color. and filled with gals and their favorite guys. Christmas is Magic and the Warriorettes brought this magic dancing kids at the after-game stomps. It’s been a year of activ- The year has also been filled with loud rock, lights and ity at Weber and our dances have been at the head of that list. What are we ever going to do this summer? 119 |
