Photography plays a big role in our college activities. Covering all school activities and functions was under the direction of Fred Rabe. Above two students are shown developing prints while Julian Davis, below picks out some negatives. Below are radio and theatre workshop students in action. They presented the cellar theatre plays, assemblies, and radio programs over local town stations and over the college broadcasting system. Mr. Kelly leads a classroom discussion. No matter what profession you may enter, speech is a vital and necessary tool for the successful attainment of your goal. Speech students participated in various contests. One of the most outstanding was at Snow College where Anne Hepworth took a superior rating in dramatic reading. One outstanding speaker will be chosen for the Phi-Rho-Pi contest in Denver. Contests within the school were held, one of the best being the Barker Extemp contest where Arvin Shreeve look first place. Much of the credit for a successful year in speech goes to the instructors, Mr. Allred and Mr. Kelly. They have worked untiringly with the students toward successful goals.
