Show UC &MCO. WORK IN MEXICO In 1925 Utah constructed 17,000 lineal feet of tunnel in Mexico for Southern Pacific de Mexico Co. In 1923 Utah constructed 110 miles of railroad tying in the Southern Pacific system to the National Railways of Mexico system at Guadalejora. In 1942 Compania Utah SA constructed the Richardson Canal and the Fuerte River Bridge in Mexico. In 1946 Utah built the Yaqui Canal structures at O'Bregon, Mexico Canal No. 9 at O'Bregon; Canal No. 4 at O'Bregon; Richardson Canal at O'Bregon; and the Los Mochis Canal in Sinaloa, all for the government of Mexico. In 1947 Utah constructed the earth and rockfill Hermosillo Dam at Sonora for the Government of Mexico. In 1951 Utah constructed the zinc fuming plant for American Smelting and Refining Co. at Chihuahua, Mexico. In 1953 Utah constructed the vertical zinc retort plant for American Smelting and Refining Co. at Rosita, Mexico. In 1954 Utah reclaimed 160 acres of underwater land and 8,450 feet of wharf frontage. Wharf frontage involved sheet pile cells backfilled with rock and capped with reinforced concrete and deck at Guaymas, Mexico. In 1953 Utah constructed the Este Breakwater and performed harbor development work at Mazatlan, Mexico. In 1956 Utah constructed the Chihuahua Dam tunnel for the State of Chihuahua Mexico, In 1858 Utah performed additional work on the Mazaltan Breakwater and the Guaymas Harbor for the Mexican Navy Dept. In 1956 Utah constructed roads and streets for the City of O'Bregon, Mexico. In 1957 Utah constructed an earth fill dam and canals for the State of Chihuahua, Mexico. |
