Holy Father, protect them in Your name that You have given Me, so that they may be one, as We are one. Congregation: When together in one place. the day of Pentecost had come, they were all Minister: And suddenly from heaven there came a sound like the rush of a violent wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. Congregation: Divided tongues, as of fire, appeared among them, and a tongue rested on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in another language, as the Spirit gave them ability. Minister: For just as the body is one and has many members, all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ Congregation: For in the one Spirit we were all baptized into one body — Jews or Greeks, slaves or free -— and we were all made to drink _of one Spirit. Minister: | therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love. Congregation: Making every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Minister: There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all. (All Together): Finally, brothers and sisters, farewell. Put things in order, listen to my appeal, agree with one another, live in peace: and the God of love and peace will be with you. |
