Hoover Dam_Workers

Title Hoover Dam_Workers
Creator Utah Construction Company/Utah International
Image Captions Crews strung catwalks across the river in preparation for trestle bridges in a staging area initially too small to accommodate even a Caterpillar tractor. Meanwhile miners blasted and shoveled muck to build up the riverbanks. The Nevada side offered no foothold at all, and so miners drove ring bolts into stone in order to string a cable suspension footbridge.
Description A collection of photographs from Utah Construction Company/Utah International highlighting the company's founders and laborers, and their work on canals, construction, dams, highways, mining and railroads.
