Show REPSONSIVE READING ‘Thanksgiving” Minister: Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. Congregation: | will GIVE THANKS to the LORD because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High. Minister: shield. We are also thankful today because God is our strength and Congregation: The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trust in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and will GIVE THANKS TO HIM in song. Minister: Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Congregation: Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns, and_ spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts of God. Minister: And whatsoever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Congregation: Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. Minister: Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise — the fruit of lips that confess his name. And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. Congregation: All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell on their faces before the throne and worshipped God, saying: “AMEN!” Minister: Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God for ever and ever. Amen! (All Together): THANKS BE TO GOD! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. |
