Tamra Lucero “A Mom Making a Difference in the Community” The Ogden Standard Examiner recently recounted the remarkable transformation of Ogden Mom, Sis. Tamra Lucero. She raised her son Rigo in an unsavory lifestyle and as a result he became incarcerated for his actions. Sis. Lucero is heartsick with remorse for her bad decisions. Now, to her credit she is bravely doing something to atone for these tragic misdeeds. She preaches against gang violence for the Ogden Metro Gang Unit. Sis. Lucero has spoken at schools, churches and conferences and has no plans of stopping. Although her change ; of heart is without risk and states, “she is not an informant.” She is grateful to God, Pastor Davis and her New Zion Baptist Church family for their unwavering support and most especially their prayers as she continues to go forth bringing awareness in the community on gang violence. Let your faith guide your lives with a measure of God's grace; for this is what keeps love strong through whatever you may face. Keep building your marriage on the foundation of Christ, it will not crumble or give way through the daily pressures of life. But it will stand the test of time growing stronger day by day; just keep your hearts truly united, joined as one when you pray.
