Show HE FADES He sat there, all alone. But he crept forward On his path. He pulled his glowing cottony cape About him, Tightly. And he tiptoed, As if shy and Self-conscious. ...Then He spread his cottony arms out As wings And increased His momentum, outspread cape Fluttering wildly In the wind. He dispersed in the form of a Winged horse, bounding Lightly, proudly, majestically. He faded. Wispy strands fluttered Weakly in the sky... The cottony cloud vanished Before my eyes. Ardis Vettlin 14 LAMENT OF A BEE I'm dying, here in the cool clover Where I fell after it happened. Over Me a shadow fell as I sucked sweet Nectar from a yellow bud. Bare feet (A child's I think) stomped down where I was lying. In self defense I stung, and now I'm dying. Adria Fowler 15 |
