Show I'll cry tomorrow, no time for tears today. Look neither back nor down, only up and forever ahead. Joy will come again. Tomorrow I'll cry!... The power of three words. Today counts, the past is finished, the future yet to come...sighs, loves, laughter... The present must be, has to be, sought with a smile. Why should the world revel in my sorrow? Today faced without a tear. No need for pity if none is asked. Hide your heart keep it safe. Always cry tomorrow. Have you ever thought? Tomorrow may never come. Darleen Marie Jehnsen 22 THE MEADOW LARK He sang. He sang again. Why does he sing in that garbled, joyous voice? Why does he pour his heart out? Why does so little a bird sing in such a proclaiming voice? Does he love the world that much? Does he feel that joy and beauty should be proclaimed so much? Is he crying joy or is he crying sadness? But now it is quiet... He has stopped singing. Ardis Vettlin 23 |
