Show The Spanish Vitality and enthusiasm are the qualities possessed by the newly organized Spanish Club members, which consists of all the students studying Spanish at Weber. Miss Helen Moore organized the club before she resigned from the Faculty, and was succeeded by Mr. Harold Olmstead for the remainder of the year. Chosen by a popular vote to lead the members were Vernon Shaw, President; Shirley Brown, Vice President; and Carole Haverfield, Secretary- Theasurer. Betty James, Emmy Lou Cadieux and Kenneth Berrett were chosen as representatives from the individual classes, and they worked with the officers in putting on a party for Spanish Students and their friends. This was one of the most successful parties sponsored by any group, and a great number attended. The Spanish Officers and Representatives can well be proud of their organization, which fosters education having to do with the South American Countries, their customs, food, dress and habits.
