What's happening? I’m German Vasquez from Colombia, South America. Several thoughts have occured to me as a result of writing this article in this book; expecially after having lived here for a few months. | think it was, and is hard to me adapt and begin to feel like other students because the educational system is different from Colombia. However, the American educational system helps me to develop my capacities for learning and to improve my goals for the future. | have felt a great experience which has been very important to me; that is sharing the life with the American people and discovering there are differences between the images of the Americans on the exterior and what they really are like inside. When you are reading this you probably have a concept about me. | hope it’s favorable because | have tried to show you something about Colombia and basically the Latin American people. In closing, | sincerely wish to thank Weber High School, the staff and the students with whom | shared and enjoyed this short period of time. My name is Fariba Kheradman. | am a student from Iran, | live with my brother. Unlike most foreign students | may be here for seven years, not just one. | like school in America because in Iran school is very hard. We cannot choose our classes as here. | enjoy my Art and P.E. classes. In Iran boys and girls are separated in school. The girls in U.S. are like in Iran. But boys—very different!!! omnes See TUE TINT T TTT ATT ey Te ‘ z : = I A Sea Hi! I’m Munie Jardiolin. I'm a Rotary Exchange Student From The Phillippines. I’m Living with the Bethers. It took a while for me to get adjusted in Weber High, but it wasn’t.that hard because the people here are so nice and friendly. Weber is so different from my school at home. Our schooling system is a lot different. There we concentrate more on our studies than any other thing. We don’t have a lot of school activities like games, clubs, stomps, etc. Unlike here, we don’t get to choose our subjects and we're required to wear uniforms everyday. School here is more interesting and enjoyable. This is really a great opportunity for me to go to a foreign country to attend high school and live in American homes. I’ve learned a lot about this country and the American way of life. It was hard for me at first to fit into your lifestyle. I'll always remember the time | spent here in Weber, and all the people who made my stay here an unforgettable one. It’s really a very worthwhile educational and enjoyable experience. | wish all the Warriors good luck in the future and | hope to see you again. |
