Article I]—Purpose or Purposes: (a) Shall be the united effort toward the study of the spoken and lyric drama. (b) To create a sympathy for the highest form of the dramatic and lyric art, creating a permanent taste for good drama. Article [1I—Membership: Section 1. Membership shall be of two classes: active and sustaining, preference to be given to college women. The needs of the Club’s purpose and program must govern the selection of candidates ians, writers, needed; to be voted upon. Readers, actors, artists, musicexecutives, etc., shall be preferred as they are the membership Section 2. Nomination of prospective members shall be presented to the membership committee in writing, stating their qualifications and signed by three sponsors at least one week before being presented to the Club. Voting shall take place at the next regular meeting after the name is presented to the Club members. Section 4. Election shall be by ballot and three negative votes shall exclude from membership. Section 5. Names of rejected candidates shall not be presented again within a year. -* Section 6. Article VII—Amendments: Section I.
