Show ABOUT OUR PASTOR Pastor James Abrams was saved and baptized in 1946 at the New Hope Baptist Church in Harlem, Georgia. He has served God all over the United States and Europe. Pastor Abrams served as deacon for nearly ten years; three of those years as Chairman. He was called into the Gospel ministry in 1987 and was licensed and ordained at the New Testament Baptist Church; North Highland, California in 1988. Pastor Abrams was called to pastor the Unity Fellowship Baptist Church of Sacramento, California and served there for four years. : His exemplary service to the Lord is matched by his service to his country. Pastor Abrams served active duty for 24 years with the United States Air Force including two tours in Vietnam. Pastor Abrams has a B.A. Degree in Pastoral Ministries from Golden gate Bible Institute and is close to finishing his Masters Degree. He has spent most of his life teaching others God's Word. Pastor Abrams has years and have they been married five ABOUT to his wife Gloria for 19 children. OUR SPEAKER Pastor Corey Hodges is a native of St. Petersburg, Florida. He is married to the former Ms. Benita Newkirk also of St. Petersburg, Florida. They have made a home for three sons, Quentin Larmar, Cameron Steven, and Aubrey Jamir Hodges. Pastor Hodges was called to pastor the New Pilgrim Baptist Church in Salt Lake City, Utah on February 22, 1998. Since his arrival the church has grown tremendously. He is ViceModerator of the Intermountain General Baptist Association. Pastor Hodges is also the Western Regional Director of the Trusted Partner's Movement of the National Baptist Convention USA, Inc. under the dire@tion of Dr. Henry J. Lyons. Prior to coming to Utah, Pastor Hodges served as Minister of Christian Education and Evangelism at the Bethel Metropolitan Baptist Church in St. Petersburg. Pastor Hodges attended Eckerd College Florida where he majored in religious He will soon start work on a Doctorate Education. in St. Petersburg, studies and music.
