A 183 bell, Americana Schulmerich electronic carillon comprises the major instrument which can be operated manually from the console in the base of the tower, or activated through an adjacent automatic role player device. Four large Eijsbouts bells, cast in Holland, are suspended in the tower and play the Westminster melody and the hour strike. Traditionally named, the four cast bells carry the following inscriptions: Scientiam Discite (Learn Understanding) Sapientiam Capite (Gain Wisdom) Virtutem Agite (Practice Virtue) Deum Amate (Love God) |
