Officers of the Whip club, girls pep organizastion at Weber college, are laying plans for annual installation ceremonies during the first part of May, announced Bonnie Parker, president. Approximately 120 freshmen girls attended the opening rush party held as a tea in the LDS institute of religion. Next on the schedule will be frivolous a combination party meeting. Thursday, May 6, at seven pm at a place to be announced. This will be followed by sunrise services the following day, Friday, May 7, at five thirty in front of the Moench building where candidates will be officially installed as members of the club. A banquet for new members will be held Wednesday, May 19. Assisting in arrangements are other club officers Carol Huss, Janet Hyde, Donna Baker, and Marilyn Mills. The club fosters good sportsmanship and acts as a service organization to promote activities on the campus it was explained. Whip Lists Members, Slates Feed. Whip clubs annual banquet, which will feature presentation of the organizations 1948-49 officers, is dated Wednesday, May 19, at the college cafeteria, club officers announced this week. Also revealed were the names of freshman girls who, as sophomores, will carry on the service organizations activities and traditions next year. |
