Show Group Demands 4-Year Weber OGDENA committee of 24 northern Utah community leaders Saturday demanded expansion of Weber College into a four-year degree-granting institution. They asked a four-year program in several fields "to keep faith with the families of the Ogden area." The fields include liberal arts, vocational training, business, nursing, homemaking, public service, education, and military science. There are 400 students annually in the Ogden area who quit school because they can't afford to go away to college, the committee said. COSTS NO MORE The group added it would cost the state no more to educate an Ogden student at home than away from home because money is appropriated on a per student basis. A four year college in Ogden would not rob Utah's senior institutions but would increase enrollment, especially in the professional and graduate schools by creating in more youth an appetite for higher education, the committee said. Committee members are W. W. Anderson, chairman and president of the Anderson Lumber Company; A. Parley Bates, superintendent of Weber County Schools; the Rev. Vernon L.
