The following is a video clip from an oral history interview with Dr. Warren Hill. "85 percent of faculty in COAST was teaching overloads. Sometimes it was significant amount of overloads at five or six credits a semester. Why not hire adjuncts? Well, you don't hire an adjunct off the street to teach thermodynamics. A lot of courses in that college are highly specialized and you don't easily find somebody to teach those kinds of courses, particularly during the daytime." |
