Show UPCOMING EVENTS Mother's Day Luncheon: The men of New Zion are honoring all mothers, grandmothers, spiritual mothers, and women with a special Mother's Day Luncheon today immediately after our worship service. Everyone is invited to attend—join us in the Fellowship Hall. New Zion Vacation Bible School: Our 2012 Vacation Bible School will be held Monday-Friday, June 4-8, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. nightly This year’s theme is, “Heaven's Kitchen” [Matthew 6°9-15] Classes are offered for all ages; everyone is encouraged to attend! Contact Dea. Harry Nunn, Sr., or a Sunday School Department member to get details. WSU Constituent Meeting: Weber State University is seeking a new president and requesting community input. A meeting will be held on May 14, 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Marshall White Center (222 28t Street in Ogden). Community residents are encouraged to attend this public forum. IGBC Meetings & Congress of Christian Education: The IGBC Executive Board convenes on May 17th, 5:00 p.m., and a Quarterly Board meeting on May 19th, 12:00 p.m. at Unity Baptist Church. Christian Education classes are to be held during May 17th-19th, Thurs, Fri: 6:00-9:30 p.m.; Sat: 9:00 a.m. at Unity Baptist Church. The offered courses are’ The Work of the Church Trustee, Discovering Your Spiritual Gifts, Advanced Writing Styles, Survey of Romans, Survey of Revelation, and Praise & Worship. A class registration form is available at the usher’s credenza, please give it to Dea. Wilder as soon as possible. IGBC Congress Youth Activities: The IGBC Congress of Christian Education (Youth Activities) will be held a chaperoned sleepover at Calvary Baptist Church on May 18th, to participate each youth is required to attend spiritual classes on the following day The cost is $15.00 and includes snacks/meals. Youth Camping Trip: New Zion, True Vine, and Second Baptist Churches have planned a youth camping trip for May 25th-27th at the Touch of Paradise Family & Youth Camp (youth ages 10-18) The cost is $35.00 and includes lodging, food, spiritual classes, and fun activities.
