Show Dn Closing Through thick and thin, bad times and worse, scratches and bites, we the ever diligent, ever faithful, ever hungry Yearbook Staff have worked, toiled, persevered, and weathered numerous nervous breakdowns we’ ve Now that cut enough costs, sheared a few corners and laundered district money, we’re going to Disneyland! We hope you enjoy the book more than we did making it! ‘EO: Amber-- As long as that rabies test doesn’t come out positive I guess we’re all safe, and awfully glad you floss! From wearing spoons and forks in your ears (we were all waiting for the nose ring) to eighty-five pairs of different Disney socks, you brought originality to the staff. Congratulations on the Sterling Scholar thing and a special thanks for the Index. We’re sure it’1] never forget you, nor you it. No matter how much therapy you go through. Trisha--Though we can hang Christmas ornaments from your hair and watch your target practice with loafers, that’s not all we’ll remember you for (though it is a big part). Good knowing you, and thanks for letting us YBS (Yearbook Staff, for those acronym illiterate) males know what a “common” senior girl looks for in a man--something to do with a six pack (though your lust for beverages mystifies us), and biceps (how material!). When your axle ever really does fall off (not if, but when) you know who to call--Not us! Nyah!! Not us! Nyah!! Tara-- We all envy your well-read personality (why else would you spend that much time in the library?) and of course sharp (as a bowling ball) photography. Just kidding (probably)! You exposed us to many things, including Newgrass and certain “other” things not fit for publishing in a family yearbook. We think you’re at a baseball game right now, but we know it's not about “him." We hope you will be enormously successful in the field you have chosen; we hear there's a lot of money in aluminum siding. Mindi--You rebel, trying to escape Mr. Wilson, and Eve (El Editario Grande)-- Though we have to admit that if we hear the phrase “you make me laugh” one more time, we’re going to do something drastic (something strange involving Micro Machines). You managed to bring a staff extremely wary of each other together to teach us about facial hygiene. (We'll never forget the slide show.) Though we’ll always seek revenge for your idea to postpone pizza till after the deadline was on time, remember us like we will remember you. Well, maybe without the plans of sabotage. You won't know where, you won't know when, but it's coming, oooooh yes, it's coming!!!! *insert maniacal laughter here* Natalie- What can we say about you (without offending some sensitive ears, that is.)? You’ve shown us that you can handle a cropper almost as well as you maneuver that Harmon's laser scanner. Your work is much appreciated (and much corrected). We especially like the vanity “Jazz” license plate, though we never knew you were such a big music fan. Once again, thanks-- have a good time in college. We look forward to seeing you in the news (though the Yearbook pool now stands 5 to | it’ll be in the Most Wanted section). ReNae- Remember finals? Well, we do! (Though not much, since people tend to block out traumatic experiences.) No, seriously (as if we weren’t before), it's been good knowing you. We hope things work out the way you want them--whether it be in West Virginia or in home sales (you’ve had the practice). So whether it be Century 21 or you “being all that you can be," good luck, bon voyage, ciao, and adieu. (Though we know you’ll be back next year to relive the horror....] mean, memories of the staff.) with a cast, too? What’s next? San Quentin? Infiltrat- ing Fort Knox? Or even better--get us into Mr. Crowther’s candy stash. (He locks it! Untrusting cur!) Good luck at Fremont next year, and your last year as a Silver Wolf, don’t give away any of our Warrior secrets. (How to make rubber cement bounce, why the Pom Squad page really wasn’t done on time, etc...) Keep the great sense of humor, it’ll only improve, being away from (some of) us. room, and don’t worry, we won’t mention the screams. Amanda (EI Editario Superior)-- We must admit we’re still healing, but some serious scarring is expected. (Hope your insurance is paid up, missy!) Your English editing skills were indispensible (and annoying, but it's | not like we didn’t appreciate them or anything *written with sarcasm*), though we admit that if we hear another story about Miss A. and your 10th grade English class we will have to take action. We're really sorry we never learned how to line dance or Electric Slide (NOT!!!). Good luck in the pursuit of the position as "English Teacher Extrordinaire" (or at least "adequate," if you improve). Have fun at Dixie, and don’t scare.....] mean.... lust after too many of those Southern Utah guys (the drool stains will never wash out, you know)! Andrew—We ve never held it against you that your father wears a pumpkin on his head. You’ve been a computer recluse all year, although we prefer that over a soldier in the Vietnam War. Don’t worry, it’s not like we needed those slide rules. (Are they really that good when used as bayonets?) It’s a good thing you’re such a kiss-up to Mr. Crowther, since he’s the only one that can replenish your fireball supply. We must thank you for one thing, though-- never showing up in your Speedo. We must admit you can do things on a computer that we never knew were possible. If you ever feel the need to answer a survey for ZCMI, you know who to call..../Audra). As you turn 16 and come of age to drive (good thing we won’t be on these roads) and date....oh! We’re sorry, we forgot we shouldn’t mention events that will never take place. Have fun next year, maybe Lacy still needs a lunch partner. There’s something irresistible about a man (uh, boy) Marc-- Long hair, multiple musical talents, and mumbling constantly under your breath--obviously the perfect recipe for a future country music star. Through Rough Water and all the good times (there may have been one or two), you kept that air brush flowing and the Prisma Colors whirling to put out some great artwork! Good luck in the future and keep playing the keyboard! Audra-- We are all impressed with your manual dexterity, though we have never seen a person with more split ends. Great knowing you and about you (but no names will be mentioned). We're all sure that you will become the next official ZCMI lingerie department surveyor, you've had more than enough experience. You're a great person--we see great things in you’re future like a lifetime supply of blueberry bagels, Corn Flakes, and the Beatles Reunion. No pizza please... Holly-- You're all psyched up for being the Yearbook Room Fruher, we can see--though you’ll have the advantage of having some “seasoned” veterans under your fearless rule...(OK, maybe we can’t do layouts, but we're darn good at Lemmings!). We just hope you can manage your time well enough, between baking the sweet rolls and supervising all those annoying planters. Hope you're looking forward to next year, we sure are. (And we're not saying that because we're afraid of Aaron-- Well, Andre...f mean Ambe....oh yeah, Aaron. From computer whiz to Dutch immigrant you’ve done horrible mutilation or anything, but, well.....does it all (well or not is debatable). anyone know where we can buy bullet- proof vests?!?). Congratulations on the Torrey-- You were the most dedicated worker we had. Who else spent all their time isolated from the rest of the staff, simply pursuing your lust for the perfect layout-- however long it may take you to reach it. You certainly know your way around the Commercial Art to bring you this--our crowning (and only) achievement. Your memories in 248 pages of second rate wood pulp from somewhere in Brazil *insert negative environmentalist reaction here* and glued to its beautiful pseudoimitation-cardboard binding with hard to come by slug mucus (it looks like rubber cement) made with our blood, sweat, tears, and Jolly Ranchers. cross-country placing. Bet you can’t wait until next year, huh? Another year of this hel....experience. See you next year, if you don’t drown in the pool or fall off the yacht, and we’ll try to find some more orange croppers for you. (You are seeking therapy for this fascination, aren’t you?) | who knows the phosphate content of milk. Mr. Crowther-- Bet you're glad to see this date come-no more deadlines, no more teenagers begging for something other than Jolly Ranchers. No more broken down vans in the middle of nowhere (Logan). No more telling your wife everything that happens to a “certain” individual who will remain nameless (gossip!). Well, some (3) of us will see you next year and more will probably be reject loser staffers that come back every year to check up (Taggart, Thompson, and the Gardiner girl [when she’s not bagging something]). Hope you can hold on for one more year at least, and keep that heart prescription filled. ** Disclaimer!!!! Most of the above is either horrible exaggeration, all lies, or even more astonishing, the truth! None of the facts presented above should be used to blackmail any of the above (though what you do | with the information is your business, as long as we get a cut of the profit). Once again, we hope you enjoy the book and it brings you as many happy memories as it brought us ulcers. Always, ae VYcartbook Staff O3-Ogd |
