Show A COMMERCIAL COURSE, including the following branches: Practical Book-keeping, with lectures on History of Commerce and Commercial Law, Penmanship, Commercial Arithmetic and Typewriting. A special teacher and graduate from one of the best business colleges in the west has been employed for this course. The work will be made thoroughly practical in every sense. The following are special features of this course: (1) The student receives his outline of business from day to day as in real business, and never knows from one hour to another what is ahead of him. (2) The books of no two students are alike. (3) The student can proceed with his work as rapidly as his ability will permit, not being required to wait for any one. (4) The student makes out and delivers all classes of commercial paper, thus becoming perfectly acquainted with their use. A WINTER COURSE, designed for those students who can only attend during about half of the school year, i. e., the fall and winter months. Students entering upon this course will be permitted to join any of the classes to which their abilities may entitle them. The course begins November 2, 1895, and ends March 26, 1896. A special teacher will be employed to give additional strength to this course. THEOLOGY. In the Theological Course lectures on purity and virtue, customs and manners, good and bad habits contrasted, with their effects upon subsequent life, the principles of the Gospel, church history and organization, together with natural theology and with missionary experiences to specially qualify students for the missionary field. The Bible, the Book of Mormon and Doctrine and Covenants and general standard church works will be used as text books for this course. A SUNDAY SCHOOL COURSE, as mapped out and granted by the Sunday School Union Board to be taught in the Weber Stake Academy will be given, and to which all will be eligible who will bring recommends from their superintendents endorsed by their bishops The course will begin November 2, 1896, and end April 2, 1897, with the privilege of continuing to the end of the school year. Students taking this course are permitted to take two studies in connection with their regular work. ADMISSION. Students must be able to read fluently in the Fifth Reader and show equal advancement in corresponding branches to be entitled to admission to the courses laid out in the Academy. EXPENSES. Rooms can be had at from one to two dollars a month, so that students by clubbing together can attend at a very moderate expense. Board can be obtained at from two to four dollars a week. TUITION. High School Course $2.50 per quarter, $10.00 for full school year Normal Course 4.00 ' ' 16.00 ' ' ' Special Normal 5.00 ' ' 20.00 ' ' ' Commercial Course 6.00 ' ' 24.00 ' ' ' Winter Course 10.00 for full course 21 weeks. Sunday School Course Subject to special regulations. N. B.It will be observed that a liberal reduction has been made from all excepting the Special Normal Course and the Commercial Course which in consequence of the heavy expense the Board could not reduce. GRADUATION. Students completing either course, excepting the winter course, will receive a certificate of graduation at the end of the school year with full honors attached. MUSIC Lessons in vocal and instrumental music will be given by competent instructors of the faculty. The former is free; for the latter, instrumental music, special charges will be made commensurate with the terms of tuition of the Academy, and governed by the instructor selected.
