Government, Department of Interior ENGINEER: Bureau of Reclamation SCOPE OF WORK: Construction of San Luis Dam and pumping-generating plant and Forebay Dam, which are two earthfill dam embankments consisting of a spillway, an outlet works, a pumping-generating plant structure, switchyard and roads. The main embankment will be approximately 18,500 feet long at the crest and will have a maximum height of 305 feet. The Forebay Dam embankment will be approximately 13,500 feet long at the crest and will have a maximum height of approximately 65 feet. Total quantities of approximately 14,000,000 CY of excavation and 80,000,000 CY of embankment are involved; 188,000 CY of concrete is to be placed.
