Show Page 3 price is reached, and ten percent (10%) for the balance of the contract price. If the first five units are completed by September 1, 1967, a bonus maximum of approximately $2,635,000 may be earned, the bonus being $5,000 per unit per day for two months and then $1,500 per unit per day for five months. However, whereas delays not the fault of the Contractor would relieve the payment of liquidated damages such delays would not extend the bonus payment period. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES: It is required that all seven units be ready for operation by September 1, 1968. Liquidated damages in the amount of $3,000 per calendar day per unit will be assessed if the units are not completed on the scheduled date. In addition, there is a penalty of $5,000 per calendar day after September 1, 1968, until the completion of all work. COST DATA: BONDS: The owner, the engineer, and their duly authorized representative shall have access to all invoiced of materials, record of plant and equipment, and any other data relevant to the performance of the contract necessary to determine its cost. The contractor shall supply a Performance and Payment Bond, executed as surety by a corporation authorized to issue surety bonds in the State of Washington, in form to be designated by the owner and with sureties satisfactory to the Owner, for one hundred percent (100%) of the total for Bid Comparison. |
