The Dee School, located at 20th Street and Ogden Avenue, was named after the then president of the school board, Thomas D. Dee. The school was built in 1904, and was used at first as an elementary school until 1912 ,when it became the North Junior High School. It switched back to an elementary school in 1922. The students in the picture appear to be of Junior High School age. The building still stands, and is representative of many of the schools built in that era.
