Show Very simple. Yellow brick with wood front porch; symmetrical chimneys on either side extending well above the roof. Dormer centered on the roof on 2nd floor level has symmetrical windows with a small window between just off of center. The porch is symmetrical except for having the entrance and doorway on the right. Wood columns, Doric, square and tapered. Sunporch of siding is located on the back, with a small roof, a post 1920 addition. This home has leaded glass on the side. Ron Hales, Architect Describe what alterations have been made to the original structure. For example, have there been any additions? Where? When? In what ways has use of the interior space been altered? Has the building been stuccoed or otherwise sheathed? The basic structure has remained somewhat the same during its lifetime. However, during the Morrell residency, more bedroom space was need and the upstairs backporch was added across the west side. The backporch area now is divded into three rooms, one boy's bedroom, one playroom and a sewing room. The main bathroom upstairs has had some new plumbing added or replaced. The flooring is intact. A small upstairs living room has become a TV room. The attic is in good condition and an axcellent play area for children. All finished and installed with a boy's tent and huge play box of toys. (The box or chest was built by the Morrells and left in the attic). Describe the physical condition of the site at the present time. Good physical condition. This is a strong, well built house. It has a good heating system and the basement hardwood floor is in good condition. Mr. Teeples plans to make an office and work area for him in the play area in the basement. What are the future plans for the site? To improve the house for a growing family. The present owners have 4 children under 10 and expect a baby in the summer. There are plans to take the downstairs bedroom and convert it into an office for Mr. Teeples. Some possibility of making a laundry room on downstairs backporch. This is future planning; also a main floor lavatory is planned . 6. Sources used in compiling the history.
