Show The Weber Literary Journal that everything filled a part of life, that life was a combination of everything. He had opened his eyes wider; he had awakened. He had Spring Fever. With his new philosophy Mr. Man regained his energy; his activity was reborn. Immediately he planned with Mrs. Man to vacation a couple of weeks with Nature during the summer. But planning did not satisfy him, so he took his hat and started out on a long hike to the mountains. After a mile or so, when a bit of his superfluous energy was worn off, when he became a bit tired from walking, nature's call did not ring so clear. Mr. Man was satisfied until the next day. A series of hikes followed, and Mr. Man "got back to Nature." The call in his blood was answered. The ache of fatigue dulls the ache of heredity. A clean-up and beautifying campaign was instituted. Mr. Man rolled up his sleeves, and with almost never-ending energy he raked the lawn, cleaned the basement, painted the garage. He hustled to town, bought a dollar's worth of flower seeds and planted them profusely over his tiny lot. Shrubbery decorated the foundations of the house. He entered the house and Mrs. Man caught the infection. Together they beat the rugs, scrubbed the windows, painted the floors and papered the walls. Together they went on a "shopping spree" and came home followed by a van of furniture purchased on the "installment plan." And thus Mr. Man realized his dream of a walnut bedroom suite. With reborn energy and awakened activity, he realized his ambition for a fine and beautiful, though not massive, home. Mr. Man "had it bad." He carried his new vigor into his office. He attacked his work with a vim; he put into practice some of his dreams and discarded others. He put new life into his co-workers; he freshened the atmosphere of dusty, moldy office work. He got a "raise." And then another. The more work he did the more pay he got. And so another ambition, another dream was realized. He had finally reached the last stages of Spring Fever. Spring Fever is not entirely a lazy feeling. It is a period of awakening, of rebirth. It is a stage of intense activity, of excess energy. Like a plant, like a wild animal, like a butterfly, man must be rejuvenated. Like a catepillar, man drags into his chrysalis and emerges a butterfly. Man is reborn in the Spring; and the rebirth is known as Spring Fever. 26 STUDENTS: Have Dad and Mother buy their electric wants at THE LIGHTHOUSE 2452 washington phone 581 Sales! More SALES!
