Item Description |
Fruit bowl made of vitrified china. Fired and glazed using standard processes and finished with an 18k gold leafing rim. Designed as a part of the dinner collection for Union Pacific's 4th streamliner, "City of San Francisco." The insignia for the streamliner is stamped in the center of the saucer in brown and green ink. The streamliner, along with its fine china collection, made its debut in 1936. The china was produced and used for the streamliner until 1971. |
