Show | MOTHER AND SONS PARTY January 27 is a night that many boys rmemeber for a long time, (no matter will how hard He they try to forget, huh Bart). was just one of the many victims of the numbers game that we played that night. Every time that another number was needed for the program or there was a dirty job to be done, all the lazy officers did was draw a number out ofa box. Woops, I almost forgot, the girl that drew the numbers and we wouldn't want the officers to take all the blame for your number getting drawn Ronald, when the girl who really hooked you was Barbara Bruhn. Opening to the quiet strains of I wanta hold your hand right down to the time that we ran out of pie and ice cream everyone had a bangup time, The entertainment for the most part consisted of "The Intruders'!, The Bartershop quartet, the '"Melo-d-lads", 2 dances by Sherrie Hudgens and 2 songs by a boy with a problem (private joke, huh boys) Gary Wayment. He just can't keep the girls away from him. (No offense girls, you worse, like could pick on somebody one of the advisors, alot Mr. Kellet). After the pie eating contest Paul Hough had the "Oh where, oh where, did my little pie go" look on his face, hands, nose, slacks, and hair. (Frankly when it only takes him a minute anda half to clean up an eight inch bananna cream pie, I wonder where it went too.) | After the prizes for the cake bake contest were given to Bob Olsen, Tim Bailey, and Paul Hough, and all of the records were acted to and after the three pigs had done their dance with the big bad wolf (another private joke) we danced for a while with our moms. I wonder who had their costume on backwards so the tail was in the front? Would you know Bart? Well, anyway, everyone had a good time and a few lucky boys got their picture painted posing with their moms by an artist. Responsible for the success were Paul Orton, who took care of advertising, kitchen organization and cleanup, Grant Protzman who arranged for the program, and Craig Brown who was in charge of decorations. | |Wehlquist School Sets Fathers’ Date | | FARR WEST—Wahlquist Junior High School coeds will be ‘out with their “favorite guy” ‘tonight when the girls’ associa- _ tion stages. the annual ‘Fathers and Daughters Date.” | The event starting at 8 Dp. ma : y will feature the theme “Autumn : Dusk” and the girls will entertain their dates with a program, idance and games, topp off : with refreshments. ; - Girls’ association advisor is Jayne Vickers with the following officers in charge: Cherie — Chariton, president; Carla Josephson, vice president, and Cathy Skeen, SEEOATY... |
