Show “Warrior News is great! It's really fun and I didnt think I was a good writer. Essays took hours but now with practice I can actually write a decent essay. We have to write at least two stories a quarter, then prepare the newspaper to sell. I love it, and | think most of the people in that class are doing it because they like it, not just because its an english credit. We all work together really well. : I haven't been there long. I started this year and think my most memorable memory is interviewing people. I get to know many people, and even though I'ma shy person it gets me out of my comfort zone to interview them. Another memory in that class is getting ready for the newspapers to get send out. I'm always super excited for that day. | think everything is fun unless Mr. Godfrey asks us do presentations. I don't like interviewing as much as writing. I pretty much like all of it including mailing the newspapers. Writing has always my favorite, especially writing about sports. We start off with everyone in the class writing story ideas. Then we print out a paper of all our ideas and sign up for a story, picture, artwork, etc. Then we go interview and our rough drafts are usually due the next class or two. The editors proof and we do it over again for the final draft which takes like two-ish days. Then we have to typeset which is making it into a Newspaper. We then we pick more stories and do that process over again. When we are done with all our stories it's usually the next quarter when everything is in place, all the pictures, stories and art are done. We put the ads into the paper and mail them out. So in conclusion, it takes about a whole school quarter to get the newspaper done." - Sienna Volkert (11) Say a Front Row: Hogla Sierra (12), Creedance Visser (10), Elke Sprague (12), Paulina Ibarra Luevano (12), Viktoria Hone (12), Sienna Volkert (11), Kathryn Carpenter (10) Second Row: Madison Rigby (11), Savanna Henderson (12), Lorelei Grover (11), Kylee Hansen (12), Korrie Woodruff (11), Makyla Hachmeister (12), Abbey Shaffer (12) Third Row: Emma Holmgren (12), Chiara Western (10), Skyler Konzny (12), Daytona Martinez (12), Griffin Wood (12), Alexis Hodgson (12) Back Row: Ronan Heaps (11), William Michels (12), Jack White (11), Setaleki Bowman(10), Joshua Bowman (12), Tavita Fewell(10), Logan McKenzie(11), Caelan Roberts(11) |
