Show WELCOME ALUMNI From Your President.. GEORGE LARKIN President Associated Alumni, Weber College 1949-50 Dear Alumni, Welcome back to our beloved Weber where so many warm and lasting friendships began to enrich our lives. Maybe Fitzosborne was right when he said, "The most powerful and the most lasting friendships are usually those of the early season of our lives, when we are most susceptible of warm and affectionate impressions. The connections into which we enter in any after-period decrease in strength as our passions abate in heat; and there is not, I believe, a single instance of a vigorous friendship that ever struck root in a bosom chilled by years." It is very stimulating to periodically renew the fine friendships of students and teachers who shared Weber with us. And, I believe each of our Alumni is happy to see the many fine friendships which are being formed today in the halls of a grand institution. We appreciate being invited to share this Homecoming with the present students and faculty and wish them happiness in the years ahead. Your Alumni President, George F. The "Wildcats" can boast of wins over Mesa (41 to 0), Southern Idaho (24 to 13) and Fullerton, California (30 to 26). On the other side of the ledger Weber shows losses to Glendale, California, Compton, California, Boise, and Los Angeles City College. With the exception of the drubbing the "Wildcats" took at the hands of Los Angeles, the games lost this season have been hard fought, well-played and wide-open spectacles. It is with pride that the Weber Athletic department points to the calibre of competition taken on by the local squad this year. Last week the Weber eleven bounced back into the win column by taking a thriller from Fullerton, California, played on the "Golden Staters" home sod. The "Wildcats" are hoping to roll over B. A. C. this afternoon and their final scheduled game of the season will be played at price, Utah against Carbon college, November 19. So far this season, the Branch Agricultural college "Broncos" have played eight games; losing five, winning two and tieing one. B. A. C. claims victories over Hill Field and Westminster. The "Bronco" gridders tied the Snow college "Badgers" and lost games to Southern Idaho, Ricks college, Boise, Carbon, and Pheo- nix. The game this afternoon with Weber is one that Coach Maughan has been pointing his boys for. B. A.
