Show IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR THE WEEK OF AUGUST 12, 2012 Membership Pastor Candidate Questionnaire To assist our Pastor Search Committee in the composition of questions to be addressed during upcoming church visitations by prospective pastoral candidates, a membership questionnaire was distributed on last Sunday, August 5", and must be returned to any member of the Pastor Search Committee on today, August 12". Members will have the opportunity to write down questions they would like to have answered by prospective pastoral candidates. Please see Dea. Wilder or any member of the Search Committee for more details. New Zion Men’s & Women’s Day We will celebrate Men’s & Women’s Day on today, August 12" The Men’s Day service will be at 11:00 a.m. with the theme, “The Role of Men in the Church” [Acts 6:3 & 1 Timothy 3:8-16], and the Women’s Day service will be at 3:30 p.m. with the theme, “The Role of Women in the Church [Romans 16:1. Rey. Elston Daniels of True Vine Baptist Church will be the Men’s Day guest speaker. Rev. Betty Hall of Lighthouse Ministries Christian Center will be our Women’s Day guest speaker Requested membership contribution is $25.00 per member or your very best donation. Mission Ministry Meeting th There will be a Mission Ministry meeting on Monday, August 13°, at 6:00 p.m. All Mission sisters and New Zion women of all ages are encouraged to attend. Back-to-School Celebration Our annual “Back-to-School” event will be held on Saturday, August 18", 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Plans are underway for an enjoyable time of fellowship, food, games and fun! Membership donations of school supplies are welcomed and may be given to any member of the Youth Advisory Council or dropped off at the church office. Monetary donations are also welcome.
