The Fine Arts Department has certainly done its share to uphold this respect. Our A Cappella Choir has won two consecutive silver medals; One in Los Angeles in 1978 and the other in San Francisco in 1979. They have appeared on radio and television and have also performed in many special programs throughout the area. At the region choral festival in 1979, this outstanding choir received two : | | HH i HI lH i audience consisting of choirs from eight other region high schools. Our Symphonic Band, who is known for their excellent showings during the Homecoming Celebration and throughout the year, has performed several fine concerts and programs in the past many years. Presently, this group of musicians is planning a Hawaiian tour in June. Last, but certainly not least, Our Drama Department—which is known for its theatrical excellence. This group won the state drama crown in 1979, and this year their productions of ‘‘Hello, Dolly”, The Night of One Act Plays, and “Arsenic and Old Lace’”’ were all excellently performed. Our actresses, actors, and theatre technicians certainly help to add a little pizzaz to the average day.
