What An Incredible Year!!!! 1980 was truly the year of the Warriors. From Homecoming Week to Graduation night, memories, victories, defeats, romances, friendships, laughter, tears, and above all school spirit and unity, have been created to the highest possible level. As Editor, it was my job, along with the other members of the yearbook staff, to preserve these moments on paper to be relived in ten, twenty, and even sixty years from now. As school began, so did our worries of meeting deadlines. Our photographers were everywhere, trying to capture everything possible on film. Meanwhile, the staff tried diligently to find the perfect place to print each memory. A cover and a theme were picked and slowly, everything began falling into place. From calm serenity to mass confusion, the yearbook was completed. Finally, all too soon, our hard work, patience, and dedication were all placed in boxes and mailed off to California to be reproduced into the finest yearbook in Weber High’s fifty-three years. Now, time to write a few acknowledgements special people. | Sincere thanks go to our faculty members, who and a few heart-felt ‘“‘thank-yous” to some very were constantly burdened with letting us out of class to meet deadlines instead of meeting their expectations. Bell Studios, who helped immensely in all of our photographic needs and did a beautiful job with all of our pictures. ; Mr. Brown and Mr. Songer for their help on our cover and for their much needed advice and contributions. Mr. Cristiansen for all his help with the business matters. Our yearbook consultants-Mr. Jon Wilhelmsen and Mr. Gary Uldriks-and the American Yearbook Company in Visalia, California, for the major task of publishing 1600 yearbooks. Our seven super photographers-Jeff, Curtis, Alan, Val, Kelly, Ken, and Jess-for all of their hard & cl work. The Staff-Joyce, Dave, Mae, Steve, Todd, Ken, Lori, Elaine, Suzanne, Bonnie and Karen-for the dedication, overtime hours, and cooperation it takes to create a High School yearbook. I would also like to thank them for the ever-lasting friendships and the good times we’ve shared. (Don’t forget Paris, France and the bathroom card.) Our Studentbody Officers-Mae, Darla, Kory, ‘and Barb, for all of their help and cooperation and especially Andre’, who’s special friendship and inspiration really helped during the hard times. And most of all, of course, Mrs. Gibson. There wouldn’t have been a yearbook this year without your love and your shoulder to cry on. Good luck to all you Juniors and Sophomores. Enjoy your remaining years at Weber and remember the key to fun is involvement. So make the most of your activities and experiences.
