Our 54 Annual Fall Revival Speaker of the Hour — Dr. Zachary Royal Dr. Zachary Royal is the son of Mrs. Lats Rave and the late Rev. S. J. Royal Sr., the former corresponding secretary to President Joseph Harrison Jackson, National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc. Ss Dr. Royal is the fourth of six children, five boys and one girl; all are ministers of the Gospel and all of the brothers are pastors. Pastor Royal earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree Science at Kentucky State University in English and a Minor in Political in Frankfort, KY. He earned his Master of Divinity Degree at the Samuel D. Proctor School of Theology, Virginia Union University, Richmond, VA. He then earned the Masterof Theological Studies Degree at Garrett — Evangelical Seminary in Evanston, IL. Pastor Royal earned his Doctorial Degree Studies and Ethics at Garrett Evangelical in Theological Historical Theological Seminary from Northwestern University. Pastor Royal is oF a member of the NAACP, a former board member of Coconut Grove Cares. His current affiliations are: Workshop facilitator, the Baptist Minister’s Council of Miami, Assistant Bible Expositor, Florida East Coast District Association, Assistant Tutor (Lecturer), Florida General Baptist Convention Congress Baptist Convention’s German of Christian Education (Instructor), National Congress of Christian Education. In 2004 Pastor Royal gave the (meditation) inspirational message at the National Baptist Convention of America, USA, Inc. when it convened in Kansas City, MO. He has preached revivals and lectured extensively across the United States. | Pastor Royal was licensed to preach at the Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in Ft. Worth, TX under the pastorate of Rev. Cedric D. Britt. He was an Associate Minister at the Trinity Baptist Church of Richmond, VA under the leadership of Rev. A. Lincoln James,Jr. until he was called as Senior Minister at the First Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Dawn, VA in 1986. From 1990to the present, Dr. Royal has been Senior Minister at St. Mary Baptist Church in Miami, FL, a church of 465 members. Pastor Royal brings a wealth of experience to the pulpit and is renowned as an assiduous scholar, a bold and illuminating interpreter, a liberation theologian, a serious student of scripture and most important, and enflamed herald of the Gospel.
