If we sweep up around our front doors we will not have time to worry about the front doors of others. “Deliver us from evil” (Matthew 6:13) A Trash Bag ... sometimes others, even Christian brothers and sisters, will bring us trash. Just put it in the trash bag. When confusion creeps into your group, take it to the dumpster. “A talebearer reveals secrets, but he who ts of a faithful spirit conceals a matter.” (Proverbs 11:13) A Rubber Band ... we need to be flexible. Children of God full of the Holy Spirit understand that things do not always go as planned. We need to recognize that cooperation and flexibility are signs of spiritual growth. “Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the heart.” (Proverbs 21.2) A Flashlight ... to find our way. We all have some dark and cloudy days. We all have to face storms that will occasionally rage in our lives. Jesus said, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works.” (Matthew 5:16) A Telephone ... we can call Him up anytime and anywhere, for His line is “NEVER” busy. And He will “NEVER” put us on hold. However, we might get a message that says: Press one for the Father, press two for the Son, or press three for the Holy Spirit. “Lo, Iam with you always.” (Matthew 28:20) A Calculator ... to count all of your blessings. what God has done. Count them one by one and see We take most of His blessings for granted. We live in houses we did not build. We spend money we did not earn. We drink from grapevines we did not plant. We enjoy the sunshine, snow, wind, rain, light, darkness and His love. How often do we pause to thank the Blesser for His blessings? “I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 7:254a) |) |
