About Our Evangelist Rev. Willie F. Davis is a native of Alabama. He is the eighth ‘ child of Moses and Lila Davis. He grew up in Alabama and ° received his education in the public schools there. In 1956 Rev. | a a8 Davis joined the military and spent four years serving his country, He accepted his call into the ministry in 1967 and spent the next . . : two years in school at the College of the Rockies in Denver, — | Colorado. In 1969 Rev. Davis was called to pastor the New Zion Baptist — a Church in Laramie, pastoring there, he also — While Wyoming. and attended the University of Wyoming. He remained pastor student in Laramie until 1972 when he was called to pastor the New Zion Baptist Church, Ogden, Utah. While at New Zion in Ogden, Pastor Davis, along with his Wife Jeanette and children Darryl, flourishing youth ministry. Lisa, and Dawn, witnessed a° Also during this pastorate, several —. accomplishments were realized both spiritual and financial. Rev. Davis was called from New Zion to his present pastorateat the Second Baptist Church, Las Vegas, Nevada in 1978. At — Second Baptist Pastor Davis has successfully overseen the erection” of a $3.5 Million institution where the membership now exceeds 5000. Pastor Davis praises God for the success of his ministry. Pastor Davis is statistician of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc. and serves as West Coast Coordinator of the | convention’s Evangelistic Board.
