Show BROWNING ARMS COMPANY ST. LOUIS, MO. July ist, 1931. Mr. BE. G Bennett, First Security Corp., Ogden, Utah. Dear Mr. Bennett The Grand American Handicap, held at Vandalia, Ohio, just outside of Dayton, which is really the culmination and top event of trapshooting for the year, will be held during the week of August 23rd. Preliminary shooting will be done on the 20th, 2lst and 22nd of August, also. Considering the publicity had at the Show in Chicago and because of the nature of the Grand American, we are inclined to feel that we should be there. There will doubtless be some of our Over-Unders in action and certainly it is the best single opportunity of the year to get the gun before the most trapshooters during the given period. Vig After having seen Mr. Jordan in action at the Chicago Show and because of his knowledge of firearms as well as his ability to repair them, it would perhaps be well if he were one of those sent..to..attend this Shoot. “attendanceat the Grand American for of the shooters that will be there. have him there during the week also, endeavor to sell guns rather than be Palmer has several years been in and knows many It would, perhaps, be well to to mix with the shooters and an active participant in the Shoot. the Grand present. eash to in on himself American Mr. Payne of regularly for I Payne Chicago, a number who also has attended of years, plans on being am sure hopes to sell the preliminary work he has been doing known among shooters Payne is very well a number of guns with no and and thus ripe cues le Will do us a lot of pood Sven though he may not sell a gre number of guns. I do think, however, he should sell some guns since by that time we would have the single trigger available ffor delivery. Display space is provided for by renting separate small tents to exhibitors. According to the best information I have, all of the leading arms and ammunition companies regularly attend and display their products, |
