Show MON. AUG. 23, 1897 Wash day. I have done up all the work this morning and spent the rest of the day tending the babies. Emily Davis left here to go to Provo. Dr. got home late tonight a cool night. TUESDAY 24 Ironing day. Have just gotten Oertel and Cleone washed and any self cleaned up and it is nearly noon. Will try and write to ma & Claire today. A very warm day We have mushed melon nearly every meal Dr enjoys them so much. WED. AUG. 25, 1897 A very warm day. Have been Cutting up tomatoes today. Went for a short ride with Dr. Nothing Special. THURSDAY 26 Today there was a Jubilee of all the S. S. in Weber Co held in the Linquist Park in honer of Bro. R. Balyntine who was the first man to preside over a S. S. in Utah He was 80 yr. old today. The Jubilee was a grand success all wards well represented & the Park was thronged with thousands of people. Annie her sisters & Neice , Mrs Steele & old lady Odell are here to dinner & spend the afternoon. A dance in the Park tonight. |
