Browning, I thank you for your with great interest. letter of Oct. 30th which I have gone through The firm J. P. Sauer and Sohn is highly interested in cooperating with you and we should be very pleased having the opportunity to see you here before long for a second visit to discuss the questions still unsettled. Regarding the single trigger shotgun for your purpose we regret that for the time being we are not ina position to submit you a firm offer because we are negotiating as you know with Messrs. SEARS, ROEBUCK and CO., Chicago, and are bound to our discussions} this refers also to the intended production of Ruger pistols, cal. 22 long rifle. Should these negotiations not realize we shall gladly return to this subject. The double barrel now manufactured I beg to enclose probably need to this licence the shotguns, model VIII, cal. 12 and 16, which are by us are sold at an export price of US $ 83.--. a proforma account for 5 shotguns which you will obtain the import licence. As soon as we receive 5 shotguns will be forwardedto your address. As you already express in your letter the shotguns in question are some of our standard-model with double trigger and without ejector} this model is also manufactured as modéle de luxe with finer and more abundant engravings.
