Show 4- 6. During 1965, dividends received by individuals, as well as income from bonds, debentures, etc., and from loans and deposits in credit institutions are not includable in combined taxable income, although they are taxed under the tax on income from capital investments. Similarly, the gain obtained by an individual on the sale of fixed income securities or stock is exempt from all income tax. Since this treatment is stipulated in the Law of Revenues of the Federation, which is only applicable to the year 1965, in order for it to continue in the future it will have to be ratified each year in such law, or included in the Income Tax Law. The provisions of the new law are commented on in detail in subsequent pages of this memorandum. |
