Included are a full listing of yearly pledges, 27 football programs, newspaper clippings concerning charity and sports events, 10 invitations, menus, 7 letters, 15 photographs, and a biography of the Whip Club by Norma Manning. |

Show ... "Faith in the Future of Weber College" The Ogden Rotary Club erected a $25,000 Memorial Entranceway to the new campus of Weber College. The club did this when there was nothing on the new campus site. For more than a year this beautiful Gateway stood like a King without a kingdom, but stood nevertheless, as a symbol of that clubs' "faith in the future of Weber College." It is not about this gift specifically that we are concerning ourselves tonight. The Rotary Club has received much publicity from its generous gift and has been thanked officially by the college on several occasions. It is the thought on the bronze placque that causes a pensive mood. Before a brick had been laid, a foundation dug, or a batch of cement mixed, this club like numerous other groups demonstrated their faith in the growth and future of Weber with this gift. Kiwanis, Child Culture Club, Porters and Waiters Club, Junior Chamber of Commerce, Quarterback Club, the Standard-Examiner and KLO, to name a few organizations who have made generous gifts, have likewise demonstrated their faith in the future of Weber College. The list of individual donors is practically endless. During the drive in 1947 to raise funds for this new campus that we are met upon tonight, literally hundreds of working men, students, alumni, businessmen, and firms made contributions ranging from one to several hundred dollars.
