Show Wildcats Test Westminster Friday Night In Second League Game of 53 Season Weber College footballers will make their second home appearance of the 1953 football season in the new Wildcat stadium Friday at 8 p. m. The 'Cats will battle Westminster of Salt Lake City in a league encounter. After dropping the opening game to San Diego Junior College, 12-0, Weber bounced back last Friday at Cedar City to earn a 6-6 tie with Southern Utah College, formerly Branch Aggies. Westminster tasted a 33-12 setback at the hands of Carroll College at Helena, Montana last week end Coaches Milt Mecham and Clair Anderson plan lengthy drills between now and game time on Friday. "Our players came out of the Southern Utah game in good shape," said Coach Mecham today. "We need to polish up a lot on defense. Present plans call for a wide open game against the Salt Lakers. "A few starting lineup changes may be slated before the kickoff this week." Public Relations Director Laurence Burton reports that about 500 season tickets were sold during the recent down town seat drive. "This is a lot better than in 1952," said Mr. Burton."
