There can be no doubt in the mind of any citizen about the tremendous contribution which Weber College has made to ihe cultural well being and development of this community. One thing however has been lacking in the splendid program of Weber College; that has been a well-rounded athletic program which would call for the best from our athletes and would merit a strong competitive schedule of events. Now Weber has reached out to achieve this goal. It cannot be realized without the full support of all the citizens of this community- 1 therefore commend to the business interests of Ogden City and all the organized groups throughout Weber County to stand squarely behind Weber College in its entire progrcm of activity. Milton Mecham and his staff are to be congratulated on the fine showing of the 1946 Wildcat team. The people of Ogden supported us in a very pleasing and enthusiastic manner. The student body of Weber College is of championship caliber. All of these factors indicate that we will all enjoy one of the best athletic years in the history of the school. Reed K.
