Show Homecoming Week is filled with parades, variety shows, games and dances Lorilee wonders who's tackling whom at the Homecoming Variety night. Each social club presented a skit at the event, which was attended by alumni and students as part of the Homecoming Week activities. could lose? We sure hope they're still having alumni banquets spectacular-style when we graduate! Weber College chefs really outdid themselves for this feast. Her Majesty, Annette Wheeler, Weber's Homecoming Queen for 1961. Michael Oborn, Roland Campbell, Bob Britt, Dennis Read, Mike Valentine, Joshua Kenan, John M. Elzey, Parker Jenkins, Max Brown, Jack Cannon, Dorothy Croxford, David Bohn, and Kathy Napoli, assistant director. Among other memorable events of the year were the musical presentations of the Utah Symphony Orchestra. Musical selections ranged from classical Beethoven to modern Aaron Copland, and the concerts were well attended by students and community patrons. A. W. S. sponsored the annual Harvest Ball during the Thanksgiving season. Other dances included Phoenix's Snowball. Announcement of a Snowball Queen, Jane Mozley, and a sports car door-prize highlighted this occasion. A Christmas dance climaxed the fall activities schedule. The dance was sponsored by Lambda Delta Sigma and followed many other Christmas activities, including the Christmas party in the U.B., with a real-live Santa Claus handing out goodies.
