Betty Yoshida is the girl that we picked to.portray our ‘‘April showers’’ cover. Sweet, quiet and petite Betty, or ‘‘Bunny as her friends call her, was also a perfect choice to rate the first colored cover for the Utah Scene. Betty is a former student State Colleg at Weber in Ogden where she was an extremly active student. Betty was once chosen as a finalist for one of the best dressed, girls at Weber State. She was a member, of the Chatonelles and belonged to the social group Otyokwa. Betty 1S of Japanese descent and was raised in a charming old brick home on a pleasant acerage in Slaterville, Utah. I discovered that Slaterville is located very near Ogden. : Betty is now employed at the Defense Depot in Ogden as a clerk typist. My bet is that she will soon be snapped up by a modeling agency or turned into a star on the Hollywood scene. We have to admit that we did cheat to a certain extent, Betty and our last cover girl, Miss Suzanne Law, are now room mates in Ogden. It is amazing that all of that beauty could live in one house! 13
