Show Our Guest Speaker Reverend Christopher M. Young Rev. Christopher M. Young was born June 21, 1979 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He graduated from High School in 1997. Following graduation, he enlisted in the US Air Force, where he has currently served 19 years. While serving, he attended many schools, earning an associate degree and certifications in computer systems; and currently attending Park University in pursue of his bachelor’s degree in social Physiology. Rev. Christopher Young grew up in the church serving as a Junior Deacon. He is the youngest of 3 sisters and 1 brother. In December of 1999 Rev. Chris Young accepted his call to preach. He preached his first sermon and received his license in June of 2000 at New Jerusalem Baptist Church (NJBC) in Wichita Falls, TX, where Pastor Angus B. Thompson was the pastor. He served as youth pastor at NJBC and remained a member, under the watch care of Pastor Thompson until he was moved to Kansan, Korea in March 2004 — March 2005, where he served as the Men’s bible study teacher and Asst. Pastor. March 2005, he moved back to Little Rock, Arkansas where he joined First Baptist Church (FBC) in North Little Rock. In January 2006 he was handpicked to be an assistant director over the youth department. October 2009 he was ordained by Pastor William L. Robinson at FBC. While at FBC he served as Associate Minister, the pastor armor bearer, taught Sunday school and Wednesday night bible study. He also served as president and vice president over young adult ministry, 1 of 5 head members over the men’s ministry. He moved to Utah in November 2012, where he is a member of Second Baptist Church (SBC). He is serving as the Young Adult Ministry pastor and teaches Sunday school and mid-week bible study. Rev. Young is married to his lovely wife Ashley Young. They live in Hooper, UT. He is a promising preacher who one day inspires to pastor. |
