The Junior Red Cross is an affiliate of the National Red Cross and was organized for the first time in our school this year under the capable leadership of Mr. Ballif, club adviser, and the following | club officers: President, Beth Frew, Vice-President, Alice Jugler; and Secretary and Treasurer, Cora McDonald. The Junior Red Cross Club has been very active in an endeavor to fulfill the motto, "'l serve.'’ Members have pertormed acts of service for their friends, neighbors, and all of those in need. They: have encouraged better citizenship by sponsoring activities that bring the young people in touch with community, national, and world problems. They have cooperated with the National Red Cross in developing international good will by seeking to learn what other nations have done and are doing to make this world a better place in which to live. The club members have sponsored the local Red Cross Fund drive and the "March of Dimes" in our school. They have also taken little visits to local hospitals, Red Cross headquarters, and various serv-ice organizations. 92
